Wasing Park Wedding

Featured, Weddings

All weddings are special to me but Victoria and David’s stands out because of one simple but wonderful reason. It took place at Wasing Park where my husband and I were married, too!

It was such a pleasure to capture Victoria and David’s wedding memories especially as it reminded me of ours too. I’m so glad that Victoria and David found me and chose me to capture their day because it was certainly one of the most special weddings I have captured to date!

The Wedding Day

Victoria and David met during a night out in Newbury. When they were ready to tie the knot, it was thanks to one of their wedding guests who recommended me… And I’m very thankful for that.

The ceremony took place at St. Nicholas, Wasing an ancient church dating back to the 15th century. Love is in the walls there! It’s such a pretty and serene location, just perfect for a wedding. Once we were ready to start the celebrations, the guests headed over to the Garden room for Pimms and canapés.  The wedding breakfast was served in the Castle Barn which is beautiful adorned with white floral arrangements with blue accents.  Lots of details that worked well with the couple’s theme navy and gold. The speeches were full of emotion and laughter, it was truly special. The cake was made by the bride, it was outstanding!  Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating with the newlyweds. You’ll see it all in the images below!

There are so many spots for great photo opportunities.  For the couple’s portraits, we used the Victorian summer house and secret walled garden at Wasing Park and it was just lovely.  Check out the highlights of the day in the recap below!

Victoria and David, a heartfelt thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding. It was a wonderful reminder of how wonderful it is to love and be loved. It’s always a joy to return to Wasing Park and I can’t wait for my next wedding there!

Annabel was a great photographer at our wedding – she was not only on time (key for all of those early “getting-ready” snaps that us girls love), but she also made everyone feel so at ease throughout the day!

From the first moment we spoke to her we knew we were in good hands. The best part was that Annabel sent us a checklist of things that we should think about before we had even booked our venue (!) – the list was not only helpful in picking out what style of photos we wanted, but it pretty much helped us arrange the whole wedding day and allowed us to think about all of those little touches! I would highly recommend Annabel if you are looking for a professional, easy going and friendly photographer to take those special moment photos during your day that you don’t even notice are being taken. Thank you Annabel – we absolutely love our photos”.
