Annabel Farley Photography - Berkshire wedding and family photographer | About

My love affair with photography started when I was very young, my parents had a box full of old family photos.  These curling, treasured images held memories.  Some were taken by my grandad on his old Brownie.   They showed me people and places that I’d never know or would never meet again.   And every now and then,  I'd escape to be with these people and step right into the past. That’s what makes photography so special, it’s a way of creating memories that you’ll have for the rest of your life. Memories are precious, special moments that slip through our hands all too easily. Being able to capture them before they’re lost is why I’m a photographer.

If I put my super practical hat on I can easily provide you with a list of the skills that led me to photography.  In C.V. speak; I’m a highly motivated individual who’s happy working with others as I am alone. But as I’m a photographer, I don't have to do that any more. So, instead I’ll say that I’m, quite simply, a people person.  I'm very interested in people.   I'm also highly visual, always ‘looking’.  Taking in what’s around me from surroundings to emotions and little details.  It’s fair to say that not much escapes my eye!

I wholeheartedly believe in love, celebrating family and love is one of the best things in life. Being part of these occasions could never be considered work. It’s a joy and a privilege. I’ve found my passion and believe it’s my true vocation.

My photographic style reflects my personality; artistic and romantic.  Being a huge fan of the great outdoors, I love to work with nature and the seasons, featuring carpets of bluebells and summer meadows as backdrops to my work.

I've been lucky enough to enjoy this vocation for several years, you are in safe hands. I am a full time wedding photographer, shooting over 250 weddings during this time.  And I'm very proud to be a preferred supplier at six local venues: Ufton Court, Elcot Park hotel, Newbury racecourse, Donnington Valley hotel, Barn at Avington and the Regency Park hotel.

My work has been published on the front cover of wedding magazines and featured in wedding blogs.  I have also received a highly commended accolade by the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) and was a VIP Guest of Canon Cameras at London Fashion Weekend at the Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea.

When I'm not photographing weddings, you find me out in nature somewhere.  Whether it be at the local nature reserve or up in the Lake district.  I'm also a bit of an adventurer and love to travel.  Having covered a few continents, there's still lots more on my bucket list.  One trip being the cherry blossom festival in Japan.

It would be great to hear from you.
